Scientist in the NHS

Here are some of the photos from our NHS trip yesterday. Students travelled to New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton and learnt about how cancer develops in the body, and how scientists diagnose it (even getting to see a real tumour in a lung) and treat it. They had a tour of a hospital laboratory, and learnt about the different work pathologists do and what steps they need to take to follow in their footsteps.
