A Brief Introduction to the Languages Department

Our thriving Modern Foreign Languages department teaches Spanish to all students in Key Stage 3, with the option of Spanish at GCSE. Our Spanish curriculum is a high-practice, high-precision model, with careful attention to high-frequency phrases and vocabulary, explicit teaching of grammar, and practice in building sentences to develop range, fluency and adaptability. Our fast-paced lessons with a focus on pronunciation are engaging and impactful, with students practising hard to become fluent speakers of Spanish.
