A Brief Introduction to the Maths Department

Mathematics curriculum at TPS follows the Complete Maths model, with explicit teaching of the component knowledge and processes needed for ambitious problem-solving in each of the five key areas of number, shape, algebra, ratio and proportion, and statistics. A great emphasis is placed on fluency and understanding, and all students are supported to develop proficiency in the necessary areas in order to rapidly move to challenging work with confidence.
