I am the Careers Lead at TPS, it is my job to create a special programme of events that gives you the opportunity to achieve excellence. Throughout your time at TPS, you will have access to lots of exciting events, such as STEM workshops, meeting local employers, Work Experience and many more. We hope you will take advantage of these opportunities to enhance the skills you have and discover one’s you may not know. The sky is your limit!

Future Focus Advisor
Future Focus is in school regularly to offer advice and guidance for students. This includes 1-2-1 interviews for all Year 11 students before they leave TPS. If you think you need advice, please drop into the Careers Hub and let us know.

Governor - Careers
Mike is one of our Community Governors and massively keen to help everyone achieve their full potential.
Mike has had a varied career, starting with a job in the Civil Service for 15 years enjoying jobs in both the Treasury and the Ministry of Defence. Eventually ended up leading the MOD Commercial team based at the UK NATO Headquarters in North London.
Mike then moved to the private sector and spent the next 2 years working for a major US aerospace company before moving to an international engineering consultancy in Birmingham. Mike now leads a team of 50 quantity surveyors and project managers who are helping to deliver several major construction projects.
Katie Mckeown – Telford College Transition
Katie works in all of the trust schools and works with Y11 students who know they are going to Telford College for their Post-16 options. She provides support and mentoring to those who may be nervous or need extra help with applications, bursaries, travel, access arrangements and many more. She is usually in school on a Friday and you can pop and see her in the Careers Hub then.
